Mary Saunders, Mentor/Coach
To explore the feminine, we turn to our inner lives and learn to value the happenings there as equally meaningful as those in our outer lives.
We begin by witnessing, and coming back into relationship with, our needs and our longings rather than striving to fulfill them. As the Sufi poet Rumi says,
Don’t seek the water; increase your thirst,
so water may gush forth from above and below.
Mary collaborates with you in a fluid, mindfulness-based process that gets you in touch with what is important to you and the choices you can make to engage with all aspects of yourself. When you are aligned with your being and with life, the doing comes more naturally and is more effective.
Using skills honed from three decades of practice, Mary will guide you to solutions that you yourself generate and keep you on course towards changes that are congruent with your values. She offers a direct, clear, and compassionate presence that empowers you to tap into your own innate intelligence and creativity.
Typically, Mary works with clients for at least three months. This three month period is usually sufficient for behavioral shifts that make a real and measurable difference in your life. During this time, there will be two hours of phone sessions per month, plus email communication as needed. Working together may continue, on a less regular basis, for as long as it serves your best interests. Mary is available to work with you for a shorter amount of time as well.
More often than not, you will leave your session with actions to take and inquiries to ponder. Most of the learning and shifting happens between appointments, giving you ample time to experience and explore the changes taking place before the next session.
Mary is a natural educator who now mentors healthcare practitioners individually and in group seminars. When practitioners do their own inner work it enables them to live the wisdom they teach their clients, making them more effective clinicians. Mentoring supports you to look deeply at what works, and what doesn’t, in your current professional situation and then guides you to changes that reflect your values and offer more satisfaction.
